Command Line

Command-line interface

A command-line interface (CLI) is a way for users to interact with a device or program using text commands and receiving text responses. It was first introduced in the 1960s and is commonly used for programming and maintenance tasks that do not have a graphical user interface. CLI can be implemented through command-line interpreters or processors, and it is often used in conjunction with scripting for automation purposes.
