Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) is a protocol used to exchange routing information between autonomous systems on the Internet. It is a path-vector routing protocol that makes routing decisions based on paths, network policies, or rules set by a network administrator. BGP can be used within an autonomous system (iBGP) or for routing on the Internet (eBGP).
