Beliefs are subjective attitudes that a proposition is true or a state of affairs is the case. They can be either true or false and need not be actively introspected. Philosophers have tried to describe beliefs in various ways, and there are important philosophical debates surrounding them. Beliefs can also be revised when presented with evidence.
