Genomics is a field of biology that focuses on the structure, function, evolution, mapping, and editing of genomes. It aims to characterize and quantify all of an organism's genes and their influence on the organism as a whole. This field also includes studying interactions within the genome, such as the effect of one gene on another or one gene affecting multiple traits.
