Bookbinding is the process of constructing a book from an ordered stack of paper sheets. It involves binding the sheets together with thread, enclosing them in a cover, and adding a decorative cover to the boards. There are two types of bookbinding: stationery binding for books planned to be written in, and letterpress printing and binding for books planned to be read.
