A histogram is a graphical representation of numerical data that shows the distribution of values by dividing them into intervals and counting how many values fall into each interval. The height of the bars in the histogram represents the frequency or proportion of cases in each interval. It is different from a bar graph, which is used for categorical data, as a histogram displays the distribution of numerical data.
