Dataflow is a concept in software and hardware architecture that represents computations as a directed graph. It can also refer to concurrently executing processes or automata communicating via data channels, as well as specific applications like Power BI Dataflow and Google Cloud Dataflow. Research in the 70s and 80s led to the development of static and dynamic dataflow machines.
